What's Happening at the Wine Shack this Winter

The Wine Shack is hiring!

We are looking for someone friendly and fun who knows a thing or two about wine to join Steve and the gang at the Shack.  It's a seriously fun place to work - you get paid to taste wine! Here comes the new website - launching near the end of April!

We have contracted with WebRock Designs and are now actively working on our new website which we expect to launch in mid-late April.  We are extremely hopeful that you will come back again and visit our new virtual presence, which will include an events calendar, the ability to purchase online and a much more user-friendly site with fresh information we feel will be of value to you.  And, it will look fantastic too!

Winter is here and the traffic in our quaint town has slowed down.  In fact, I think we can safely be called a "sleepy" little town these days.  We are continuing our Saturday tasting hours of 1-5 pm, but have put a hold on Saturday night music while things have slowed down.  Events have begun to trickle as well, but here's what's going on. 

Coaster Theatre Opening Nights - We pour in the lobby for 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Puffin Brand Wine Update

The other thing that's happening this winter, is we've come to an agreement with a fantastic winemaker to make a Puffin Pinot Gris to be released in Spring! This will be the first time Puffin Brand has expanded beyond our Pinot Noir and Red Blend.  We are also looking into having a Puffin Rose, so stay tuned!  

Visit Our Tasting Room

Wine tasting, music and events are held in our 2nd floor Tasting Room.  We've expanded the tasting bar, added tables and chairs, piped in music and redecorated.  We also have games, stuff to read and free WI-Fi. 

You can enjoy a glass or a bottle of wine in the Tasting Room during tasting hours, and on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Tasting Room is a great place to enjoy and learn about wine, hang out and play cards, visit with friends or do some nibbling.  Most weekends we have small plates available for purchase.  Please feel free to call us if you want to check on the availability. 

The Tasting Room is also available for private events.  We've had birthdays, retirement parties, bridal showers, family reunions, and recently, a Nike committee celebrating the end of their big project.  Please contact us if we can help you plan your special event.

Cannon Beach Farmers' Market

Special thanks to the Cannon Beach Farmers' Market committee for their friendliness and planning efforts that led to a terrific season.  Also, thanks to our customers for finding us there and supporting our first ever participation in a Farmers' Market on the other side of the table!  It was fun pouring wine for you and we'll see you next year.
